Amy Koehl
ECS Program Manager, Training & Employee Support

Amy Koehl is the ECS Program Manager working with training and employee support. She has dedicated over 19 years to The Lighthouse for the Blind, working in various capacities in the Employee & Community Services Department. She has worked in the Deaf-Blind program for almost five years, supervising the Technology Training Center and Independent Living Programs. In addition, Amy manages the Supported Employment program that serves people who are blind and also have developmental disabilities. Recently she added another responsibility of managing the new Computer Training Program serving blind employees of the Lighthouse.
Amy recently completed her Masters in Not-For-Profit Leadership at Seattle University and uses this newly-acquired knowledge to benefit the Deaf-Blind Program and other programs in her daily work responsibilities. She is an American Sign Language user and can read Braille by sight.
Amy also supports the Deaf-Blind community through her involvement in Deaf-Blind Community Classes and the Annual Seabeck Retreat. Amy is hearing & sighted.
