Beth Jurco began working at the Lighthouse in September of 2005 and loves working in the field of Orientation and Mobility! She attended Western Oregon University and received a BA degree in American Sign Language/English Interpretation. During that time Beth attended Seabeck as a volunteer, and had her first introduction to the Lighthouse. Subsequently she did an internship with the Deaf-Blind Service Center in Seattle she did some volunteer interpreting in the community and within the Lighthouse.

Beth first learned about the field of Orientation and Mobility while working as a sign language interpreter in Soldotna, Alaska; a student she was interpreting for had an O&M Instructor. Once the student graduated, Beth went back to school and earned her MA degree in O&M from Western Michigan University in 2005.

Beth grew up in Alaska and loves the Northwest.  She is addicted to traveling, scuba diving and enjoys just about anything outdoors.
